NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO) ANNOUNCEMENT
The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the selection of Tod Citron as the new CEO for Hill Country Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities Centers. Tod was selected from many very well qualified applicants. We completed final interviews last week and offered him the position, which he has accepted. He plans to start August 2 and will spend three weeks orienting with Ross, Landon, and members of the Executive Management Team. We have requested he make a preliminary trip earlier this summer to meet with our leadership team to begin the transition.
Tod joins us from Georgia with over 16 years of experience as ED and CEO of several JCAHO and CARF accredited community based behavioral health and developmental disability provider organizations including several quasi-governmental entities, 501(c)(3) non-profits, limited liability companies, and multi-hospital systems in Georgia and Northern Virginia. He has been responsible for over 500 employees or contract professionals, serving 15,000 clients annually out of 45 locations with budgets between $35 million to $65 million. Tod has been actively involved with state and local health care initiatives.
Tod began his career in mental health care of 35 years as a graduate student working on his Master of Social Work in Atlanta. He also holds a Master of Science in Health Care Policy & Administration from Mercer University. We are excited about the experience and background he brings to HCMHDDC and believe he will be a great addition to our outstanding leadership team. Please welcome Tod Citron as our new CEO.
